Summer in Marysville

Marysville is a favourite location to escape the hot Summer days of Melbourne and take in the cool mountain streams, fern gullies around the Yarra Ranges National Park, and the wild flowers on the plains atop Lake Mountain.

The list of activities is endless for days of Summer fun. Horse trail riding, trout fishing in a range of rivers, bush walks, golf, picnics and shopping.

The Cumberland's brand new 20 metre indoor heated pool is perfect for a summer retreat. With Concertina doors on one side that open onto the lovely cool deck area looking onto the colourful gardens there is no better place to be in the heart of summer away from the maddening crowds. Enjoy a stroll in the lovely old established gardens amongst the old oak trees providing cool respite from the heat of a summer's day. There are many perfect spots to laze away an afternoon with a book under a tree. The shade of the National and State Parks surrounding the town, with a myriad of walking tracks are also popular in the heat of summer. Watch for lyrebirds amongst the towering mountain ash and fern gullies.

Children will be entertained all day in the pool, playing tennis or croquet, volleyball in or out of the water. Summer is a perfect time to take advantage of our Mid week special - 4 nights for the price of 3. All details are on our Specials page.
